Event
Theme/Description:

Mark your calendar for the 4th Annual New Partners for Smart Growth Conference: Building Safe, Healthy and Livable Communities. The 2005 national multi-disciplinary event will build on the tremendous success of the first three annual New Partners for Smart Growth conferences, held January 2002 in San Diego and 2003 in New Orleans and 2004 in Portland.

There are many great reasons to attend this important and timely event. The program will feature cutting-edge smart growth issues, the latest research, implementation tools and strategies, successful case studies, interactive learning experiences, new partners, new projects and new policies. While some sessions are designed to attract specific disciplines, many of the conference sessions are designed more broadly and will have something to offer many different disciplines.

The 2005 New Partners conference offers many special features, including specialized workshops and training, tours, and peer plan review. For details, click here.

Audience:

The conference will draw a national multi-disciplinary audience of local elected officials, city and county staff, developers, planners, transportation professionals and traffic engineers, public health professionals, architects, landscape architects, bankers, crime prevention professionals, realtors, urban designers, parks and recreation professionals, advocates for older adults and youth, bicycle and pedestrian advocates, advocates for social equity and affordable housing, labor representatives, and all others committed to building safer, healthier and more livable communities everywhere.
