Description: This webinar highlights the accomplishments of the Common Ground Program, a community gardening and urban agriculture project created in the city of Lawrence, Kansas. Over the past two years the city surveyed its vacant and underutilized properties, identified appropriate sites for agriculture, and made these sites available to citizens for urban gardening through an application process.. Eileen Horn, sustainability coordinator for the city of Lawrence, will describe the project goals, community benefits, lessons learned, funding sources, and partnerships.
