By convening hundreds of experts representing different sectors and perspectives, there is a new recognition of the importance of water and its issues, as well as the complex relationships between water and other critical issues, such as energy, climate, food and social equity. Join the National Association of Regional Councils for the 2015 National Conference of Regions. This conference is a forum for locally-elected officials and their Regional Councils to explore federal policy issues, and discuss NARC’s legislative priorities for the 114th Congress. Topics covered at the Conference will include the reauthorization of transportation legislation, water quality issues, the implementation of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, and the current federal and local fiscal picture, among other policy issues that affect the success of Regional Councils.

Instead of saying “Look at what the bike has done for us!” we’re asking “How can the bike help you achieve your goals?” – whether you’re a health professional, community planner, traffic engineer, neighborhood leader, tourism agency, grandmother or student. That’s a significant shift – and we’ll be listening and learning from many of these groups during the Summit.
