ACTIVATE! Design Competition
This public competition sponsored by Architecture for Humanity Chicago challenges designers to redefine public space on a temporary basis and a budget of no more than $1,000. The goal of the competition is to increase access to open space and improve street safety while providing a replicable model for neighborhoods across Chicago and design organizations across the country. Similar installations have been shown to increase pedestrian activity, which can lead to increases in revenue to adjacent businesses and encourage multi-modal, healthy transportation.
Entries are due by Friday, March 15, 2013.
