EPA Building Blocks for Sustainable Communities
EPA’s Building Blocks for Sustainable Communities provides quick, targeted technical assistance to selected local and/or tribal governments using a variety of tools that have demonstrated results and widespread application. EPA will select up to 44 communities to receive assistance in 2013. Each selected community will receive a public workshop, technical assistance, and a summary outline of specific steps the community could take to implement the ideas generated during a site visit. Technical assistance will be delivered by EPA staff. In addition, four nonprofit organizations with extensive expertise in sustainable communities will be offering similar assistance to approximately 55 additional communities. Application deadlines vary from the end of October 2012 to Early 2013. Visit the EPA Building Blocks website for application information.
