HUD has announced the availability of planning grants to support the development of comprehensive neighborhood revitalization plans. Eligible applicants are public housing authorities, local governments, nonprofits, tribal entities, and for-profit developers that apply jointly with a public entity. Applicants must visualize the revitalization of a severely distressed public and/or HUD-assisted multifamily housing project located in a distressed neighborhood, and propose a viable, mixed-income community. The maximum individual grant is $500,000.
