Are Bicyclists Better Business Customers than Car Drivers?
Downtown business owners often resist the addition of bike infrastructure because they are concerned it will limit car parking. But a recent article in DCStreetsBlog.org argues that bicyclists are better downtown business customers than car drivers. Cyclists tend to more frequently patronize businesses in their neighborhoods, and often have thousands of dollars of more disposable income that otherwise would have been spent on gas and car maintenance.
