Brooklyn High-Speed Bus Line Announced

The U.S. Federal Transit Administration has awarded more than half of the $40 million needed to construct a 9.3- mile bus rapid transit line in Brooklyn. The line, called the Nostrand Avenue Select Bus Service, will include a dedicated bus lane, traffic signal priority, and off-board fare collection to speed up the ride. The buses will be low to the ground, and will feature three doors for faster boarding.
