Chicago Pedestrian Plan Launched
Chicago has launched a new “Pedestrian Plan” that lays out the agenda, tools, and programs that will help the city achieve the goal of becoming a safer pedestrian city. The plan establishes Chicago’s new “Zero in Ten” goal — reducing pedestrian fatalities in Chicago to zero in the next 10 years. The new pedestrian plan has more than 250 recommendations, including improving access to transit, creating safer crossings at intersections, and increasing space for pedestrians.
