Converted Textile Mills Spinning New Community Development

Textile mill buildings that once supported the city of Lawrence are again the key to its economic future. More than 1 million square feet of former textile mill space has been redeveloped for mixed residential and commercial uses within the last eight years, bringing in more than $800,000 in additional annual tax revenue to the city.
