Federal Bike/Pedestrian Pilot Project a Success
A recent audit of the Federal Highway Administration Bike/Walk pilot program shows conclusively that infrastructure investments increase the share of trips taken by bicycle and on foot. Approximately $100 million was invested nationwide in bike and pedestrian infrastructure in the 2005 pilot program.
