A new initiative called the “Downtown Project” will invest $350 million to develop a vibrant urban core in downtown Las Vegas. The five-year plan calls for a density of greater than 100 people per acre, and commercial and community spaces that are clustered together, linking streets and activities. In addition, the project is collaborating with local community groups representing technology, fashion, music, and art.
