A recent article in Grist Magazine highlighted the many smart growth projects underway in Philadelphia, including the city’s “Office of New Urban Mechanics,” which is dedicated to city innovation and problem-solving. Other Philadelphia projects featured include the city’s bike sharing and land bank programs, as well as the more than 350 urban gardens within the city limits.
