Governor, State Government Lay out Smart Growth Goals
The Providence Journal recently spotlighted the smart growth goals and accomplishments of Massachusetts state government. Highlights include a statewide Complete Streets initiative, a target of reducing greenhouse gases 80 percent by 2050, and zoning reform to make communities more resilient to climate change. The Governor is also proposing to invest over $1billion a year to create a safer, reliable, and more modern transportation system, including tripling the amount of walking, biking, and public transportation options in the state.
