Kansas City Kick-Starts Green Infrastructure Plan

City officials in Kansas City recently announced that they have completed an $80 million green infrastructure investment, which includes new rain gardens, curb extensions, and other green solutions. But the green infrastructure completed so far is just a start. Over the next two decades, Kansas City plans to spend nearly $4.5 billion to implement its sewer overflow control plan, the largest capital project in the city’s history.
