Miami Envisions More Commuter Trains, Transit Hub
A new “virtual” transit line will be unveiled in Miami in early March. Called the Metro “Purple Line,” this conceptual design will allow city residents to imagine what expanded commuter-train travel in Miami could look like in the future. A parking lot in downtown Miami will also be converted as part of the two-day demonstration to help Miami citizens envision a vibrant new transit hub. The project was conceptualized by urban planning graduate students from Florida Atlantic University.
