Philadelphia Invests in New Bike and Pedestrian Projects
The city of Philadelphia has announced that three new grants have been awarded to city bicycle and pedestrian projects. The grants include $400,000 for the creation of a separated two-way bike lane on the Grays Ferry Bridge and nearby streets; a $250,000 grant for an additional 1,200 feet of trail along the Schuylkill River; and a $204,000 grant to transform an unused rail bridge into a bicycle and pedestrian connection between several regional trails.
