Beyond Green Awards 2008: Call for Entries

The Sustainable Buildings Industry Council (SBIC) invites you to participate in the 2008 Beyond Green™ High-Performance Building Awards. This unique program recognizes the initiatives that shape, inform and catalyze the high-performance building market, as well as the real-world application of high-performance design and construction practices.

The Awards program is a key part of SBIC's commitment to the design, construction and maintenance of high-performance buildings through education, outreach and advocacy. The 2008 program is open to all public and private sector organizations, including: architects, engineers, consultants, builders, building owners, trade associations, researchers and educators, product manufacturers and suppliers, utilities, municipalities, developers, and universities.

Awards will be presented in two categories: High-Performance Buildings (category A) and High-Performance Initiatives (category B). Organizations may submit any number of entries and participate in both categories.

Winners will be invited to present their projects in Washington, D.C., in early 2009, in conjunction with a briefing on Capitol Hill. Winning projects will be featured in SBIC technical guidelines, on SBIC's Web site, and on the Whole Building Design Guide.

Entries must be received by SBIC no later than 5:00 p.m. EST on October 15, 2008. Read more at the resource link below.
